Measurements were made on a Hewlett-Packard Pavilion a1440n desktop computer with 2 GB of memory, a 2.8-GHz Intel Pentium D microprocessor running under Windows XP, and a RAID-0 hard drive configuration. Data were taken using the most recent software versions as of May 2010 (7-Zip), February 2011 (FreeArc, Gzip, LZOP, NanoZip, PKZIP, & ZPAQ), March 2011 (StuffIt, WinRAR & WinZip), or January 2012 (Xtreme Compression). Actual record count is 59,986,052. Uncompressed file size is 7,835,713,740 bytes.
